Black beans are one of my favorites, I always add them to my chili, taco salad, burritos, and a few other recipes. Today’s recipe is very much Mexican inspired, like those other dishes, but with way more black beans. The Yonedas Chocolate Rub in this recipe is an amazing collaboration between Jacek Chocolate and Yonedas rubs, made with locally grown black beans, it doesn’t get more local that this baked beans recipe right here!
I love baked beans. It’s a great and satisfying side when you’re out camping or bbqing some hot dogs. For years, I’ve made my own baked beans, usually with a slow cooker or in the oven, but cooking them on my grill has brought them up a notch into a truely amazing dish. This recipe simplifies many of the steps involved to get the flavour without the effort.
Mac and Cheese is one of those meals that you grew up eating, and you loved it smothered in ketchup. This recipe is NOT that. There is no ketchup required with this gooey cheesy meal. The trick to making good mac and cheese is to use big noodles and good cheese, and lots of it. We like adding leftover BBQ meat to give it that amazing rich flavor. So throw away your KD and start making your smoked mac and cheese from scratch by following this recipe.
For several years I’ve been running a Pit Boss 700 SC. It’s been a great grill. Reliable, fuel efficient, wimple to use have and produced some great BBQ along the way. Even though it still runs like a top , I bought this grill before we started up You Need a BBQ and I thought it was time to upgrade to one of our new options as there are so many cool new grills out there.
