Most times when you think of Jalapeno poppers, you think of Jalapenos stuffed with cheese, then breaded and deep fried. Who does not love them as a party snack! These Jalapeno poppers are something else entirely. There are no breadcrumbs, there is no cheese, just loads of beef, bacon, Jalapeno, and flavor. I served these to the staff in the BBQ shop and they were blown away by not only the flavor combination, but how well the Jalapeno heat was smoothed out by the fat in the bacon and beef.
Smoked Bacon and Little Potato Pancakes, now there is a meal I could get behind. This meal is a great way to use up leftover mashed potatoes but can also be made from scratch if that is what your heart desires. When I made this recipe, I topped it with sliced avocados, mayo and Truff hot sauce. In the past I have also done it with sour cream and salsa or a fun mayo, sour cream and BBQ seasoning dip, the sky is the limit!
I love smoked sausage, if I am ever going to a smokehouse for dinner I always get the sausage as one of my meats. I also love bacon, ever since I won the Canadian bacon championships its been a passion of mine to include bacon with all sorts of dishes. When you combine bacon and sausage you really pump up the flavours of both meats, so I recommend giving it a try.
You have seen chefs butterfly pork loins, stuff them with some of the worlds finest ingredients and then roll it back up, tie it to perfection and cook it. But you don’t have twine, you don’t own a slicing knife or the ability to butterfly a loin and you want all the same (or even more flavour). The trick here to stuff your pork loin with pepperoni sticks is the ultimate pork loin cooking hack.
